Spendenaufruf EU Projekt - Zeiden

Our fortified church is to undergo a major restoration over the next three years using EU funds. In this regard, the financing contract was signed in Karlsburg on 22 December 2017. It is a welcome development, but also a great challenge for the 390 souls that make up our congregation.

In total, the restoration programme will have a total value of 3.197 million LEI (approximately 710,450 EUR). The own contribution that the parish must raise amounts to approximately 182,000 LEI (approximately 40,450 EUR). This project is not something the parish alone can manage. That is why we depend on every form of help we can get, in order to secure and preserve the fortified church complex for the decades to come.

Every donation, whether large or small, helps to bring this perhaps greatest Zeiden restoration project to a successful conclusion. All of us care greatly about handing our fortified church with its evangelical church on to the next generation in good condition. We owe this to our ancestors as well, who built this venerable fortified church and maintained it for more than seven centuries.

On the chancel arch of the Zeiden church one can read: "With God we will do mighty deeds." Let us act in this spirit!
